Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve sits on the north Norfolk coast, where routes, landscapes, and coastal habitats meet at the western end of the Norfolk Coast Path and the northern terminus of the Peddars Way. Managed for wildlife and conservation, the reserve contains a varied landscape of dunes, grazing marsh, reedbeds, freshwater pools, and open shoreline overlooking The Wash.

Positioned between Holme-next-the-Sea and Thornham, the reserve forms part of the wider Norfolk Coast National Landscape and provides an important connection between the coast, surrounding nature reserves, and long-distance walking routes. Today, Holme Dunes remains one of the most significant natural environments on the Norfolk coast, linking wildlife, landscapes, and historic routes through self-guided travel and independent exploration.
