Staying in Hunstanton
The Norfolk Coast Path begins in Hunstanton, with the route leaving the town and heading north towards Old Hunstanton before continuing east along the Norfolk coast.
Staying in Hunstanton the night before provides time to arrive, explore the seafront and prepare for the first walking day. The town has a range of accommodation, places to eat and shops, while its transport connections make it the main arrival point for walkers beginning the trail.
From the start of the Norfolk Coast Path, the route follows the coast towards Old Hunstanton and the distinctive striped Hunstanton Cliffs. Beyond the village, it continues towards Holme-next-the-Sea and Holme Dunes, where the Norfolk Coast Path meets the northern end of the Peddars Way.
