The Norfolk Coast Path begins at Hunstanton on the Norfolk Coast. There is no railway station in Hunstanton, so King's Lynn is the main rail arrival point for walkers travelling by public transport.

From King's Lynn, continue to Hunstanton by bus or taxi. Walkers can stay in Hunstanton itself or continue the short distance to Old Hunstanton, which provides another convenient base before beginning the walk.

Arriving in Hunstanton places walkers at the western end of the 84-mile Norfolk Coast Path to Hopton-on-Sea. Old Hunstanton lies a short distance further along the coast and provides another option for an overnight stay.

Starting the Norfolk Coast Path

From Hunstanton, the Norfolk Coast Path heads north towards Old Hunstanton before turning east along the Norfolk Coast National Landscape.

The route continues through Holme-next-the-Sea, where it connects with the Peddars Way, before continuing through Brancaster, Wells-next-the-Sea and the wider Norfolk Coast towards Hopton-on-Sea.
