Euston

A small village in the Breckland countryside

Euston is a small rural village in Suffolk, set among farmland, woodland and parkland close to the Norfolk border. Despite its size, several walking and cycling routes pass through the surrounding countryside, connecting the village with Knettishall Heath and the wider Breckland landscape.

The Icknield Way passes through Euston on its way to Knettishall Heath, while the multi-user Icknield Way Trail provides a route through the area for walkers, horse riders and off-road cyclists. Quiet roads and rural tracks provide further opportunities to explore the countryside around the village.

Euston is also shaped by the historic Euston Estate. Euston Hall and its surrounding parkland lie beside the village, together with St Genevieve's Church, while the River Little Ouse runs along the northern edge of the parish.

With Thetford to the north and Knettishall Heath nearby, Euston makes a quiet base for exploring this part of the Suffolk-Norfolk border on foot or by bike.
