Limestone high street, open hillsides, and escarpment views across the Vale of Evesham

Broadway sits on the western edge of the Cotswolds in Worcestershire within the Cotswolds National Landscape, directly on the Cotswold Way. The trail passes through the centre of the village before climbing onto the escarpment, linking Broadway with Chipping Campden to the north and Stanton and Winchcombe to the south.

The settlement stretches along a broad limestone high street at the foot of rising pasture and woodland. Walking routes leave the village along quiet lanes and field paths before ascending steadily toward Broadway Tower and the open ridge above. Ground conditions are generally firm, with a mix of pavements, grassland, and well-used hillside tracks.

Broadway provides shops, cafés, pubs, and places to stay, making it a practical stopping point along this section of the route. Bus services connect the village with Evesham and Cheltenham, allowing straightforward access to and from the trail.

From the centre, the Cotswold Way heads north across gentler farmland toward Chipping Campden or south uphill past Broadway Tower before continuing along the escarpment toward Stanton and Winchcombe, with wide views across the Vale of Evesham.
