Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve

Reedbeds, Wetlands, and Coastal Landscapes Along the Suffolk Coast

Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve is one of the most distinctive coastal landscapes within the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape. Located between Dunwich and Walberswick, the reserve combines reedbeds, freshwater marsh, grazing marsh, shingle shoreline, lagoons, and coastal habitats within a landscape shaped by wildlife, water, and the changing coast.

The reserve sits alongside the Suffolk Coast Path, linking one of Suffolk's most important wetland landscapes with a long-distance route that follows the county's coastline. Throughout the year, migratory birds, marshland species, and coastal wildlife occupy the reserve's diverse habitats, creating a landscape recognised for its rich biodiversity and sense of space.

Reedbeds, wetlands, and a changing coastline shape the character of Dingle Marshes.
