Marble Arch Caves UNESCO Global Geopark

Limestone landscapes, cave systems, and geological heritage in County Fermanagh

The Marble Arch Caves UNESCO Global Geopark spans parts of County Fermanagh and neighbouring County Cavan, where limestone landscapes, underground rivers, cave systems, and upland environments reveal millions of years of geological history. The geopark is centred on the Marble Arch Caves, one of the most significant cave networks in the British Isles.

Located within the wider landscapes of the Fermanagh Lakelands, the geopark forms part of a network of routes, landscapes, and places connected by lakes, hills, forests, and rural countryside. The Marble Arch Caves UNESCO Global Geopark links geological heritage, natural landscapes, and outdoor exploration across one of Northern Ireland's most distinctive protected areas.
