Stay at the start of the Cotswold Way
Bantam Tea Rooms occupies a historic building on the High Street in Chipping Campden, directly opposite the Market Hall and beside the northern starting point of the Cotswold Way. Its position in the centre of the town makes it particularly well placed for walkers staying overnight before beginning the 102-mile National Trail to Bath.
The building dates from 1693 and combines the tea rooms with boutique bed and breakfast accommodation. Guest rooms are set within the historic property, with a private garden and guest parking also available for overnight guests.
From Bantam Tea Rooms, walkers can explore Chipping Campden on foot before beginning the Cotswold Way. The historic High Street, Market Hall and Church of St James are nearby, while the surrounding countryside of the Cotswolds National Landscape begins beyond the town.
Leaving Chipping Campden, the Cotswold Way climbs towards Dover's Hill, the first major landscape encountered along the route. The trail then continues across the northern Cotswolds towards Broadway Tower before descending to Broadway, the next major destination on the National Trail.
