Partner Listing Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between you (“Partner”, “Advertiser”, “you”) and ahchoo, the publisher of Self Guided Travel (“we”, “us”, “our”), regarding the purchase of a paid business listing on the Self Guided Travel website (www.selfguidedtravel.com).

By submitting your details and activating a paid subscription via Stripe, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Who We Are

Self Guided Travel is an independent travel publication and search platform dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism, published by ahchoo.

We create content to inspire slow, low-impact travel and provide a platform to help travellers discover walking, hiking, and cycling holidays, outdoor adventures, and independent places to stay that reflect these same values.

We only feature:

• Walking, hiking, and cycling holidays across the UK and Europe
• Low-impact outdoor adventures such as kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and other environmentally friendly, nature-based activities
• Independent places to stay located in or around National Landscapes, National Parks, and National Trails

We do not list mass tourism, corporate chains, motorised sports, or high-impact activities.

2. Description of the Listing Service

We offer paid business listings (“Site Cards”) to promote walking holiday providers, outdoor adventure companies, and independent places to stay.

Listings may include:

• Business name and logo
• Images
• Descriptive text
• Website or booking links
• Other relevant information supplied by you

Listings appear on relevant destination, region, trail, and/or activity pages based on our site structure, content strategy, and editorial relevance.

Self Guided Travel (as published by ahchoo) acts solely as a promotional and publishing platform. We do not operate as a travel agent, tour operator, accommodation provider, or booking intermediary, and we are not involved in the sale, fulfilment, or delivery of your services.

3. Payment Terms (Subscription)

• All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
• Listings are billed on a recurring annual subscription basis, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• The standard subscription fee is £99 per year (subject to change).
• By completing payment, you authorise us to automatically renew your subscription annually using your selected payment method unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• All subscription fees are non-refundable, including in cases of early cancellation, except where required by law or in cases of proven error on our part.
• Listings generally go live within five (5) working days of receiving successful payment and all required content.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Stripe customer portal or by contacting us in writing. Cancellation stops future renewals only and does not trigger a refund for the current billing period.
• If a payment fails, we reserve the right to suspend or remove your listing until payment is successfully received.

4. Partner Responsibilities

By submitting a listing, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, lawful, and up-to-date information, including text, images, and links.
• Maintain a functioning website and/or booking platform throughout the duration of your subscription.
• Notify us promptly of any significant changes to your services, branding, pricing, or contact details.
• Confirm that you hold all rights and permissions for any materials submitted (including images, logos, and descriptions).
• Operate a lawful and trustworthy business that upholds high standards of conduct, service, and sustainability.

5. Partner Eligibility

By submitting a listing, you confirm that you:

• Operate a genuine business or organisation related to walking holidays, outdoor adventures, or accommodation.
• Are authorised to represent and promote the listed service or stay.
• Maintain a secure and functional website or booking page.
• Will not mislead or misrepresent your services through your listing.

We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or remove any listing at our sole discretion if a partner fails to meet these standards or does not align with our values of sustainable and responsible tourism.

6. Editorial Control

As a publisher, Self Guided Travel retains full editorial control over all content and listings. We may:

• Edit submitted text for clarity, grammar, tone, or brand consistency.
• Refuse or remove listings that conflict with our editorial guidelines or sustainability focus.
• Reorder, relocate, or reformat listings to maintain design, SEO, and user-experience standards.

These edits will never alter factual business details or intentionally misrepresent your offering.

7. Term and Termination

• Listings remain live for the duration of the active paid subscription term and renew automatically each year unless cancelled before renewal.
• You may request removal at any time, but no refunds will be issued for unused time.
• We may remove or suspend listings without refund if they breach these Terms, contain misleading content, or harm the integrity, reputation, or legal standing of the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all logos, images, and materials you provide.

By submitting a listing, you grant ahchoo (as publisher of Self Guided Travel) a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and promote your materials on:

• The Self Guided Travel website
• Associated social media channels
• Marketing and promotional materials

This licence remains valid for the duration of your active subscription.

We may also archive or reference your listing in future editorial or promotional content with appropriate attribution.

9. Limitation of Liability

Self Guided Travel (as published by ahchoo) is not responsible for:

• Any bookings, payments, refunds, or customer interactions arising from your business operations
• Loss of earnings, visibility, or opportunity due to platform performance, search ranking, or technical issues

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for your current active subscription period.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting your details and completing payment via Stripe, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
