Partner Listing Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 July 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between you (“Partner”, “you”) and ahchoo, publisher of Self Guided Travel (“we”, “us”, “our”), regarding inclusion within Self Guided Travel in both digital and print formats.

By submitting your details and activating a paid subscription via Stripe, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Self Guided Travel

Self Guided Travel is an independent publisher documenting walking routes, landscapes, and places across the UK and Europe in both print and digital formats.

We provide contextual references to independent businesses and organisations that support self-guided journeys and place-based travel.

We prioritise inclusion of:

• walking and route-based travel services
• low-impact, nature-based activities
• independent places to stay
• organisations connected to protected landscapes and heritage sites

We do not feature mass tourism chains, high-impact motorised activities, or services that conflict with responsible travel values.

2. Nature of Inclusion

Paid listings provide inclusion within Self Guided Travel’s published guide.

Listings may appear:

• alongside relevant routes, destinations, and landscapes
• within digital guide pages
• within future print publications where contextually appropriate

Listings may include:

• business name and logo
• images
• descriptive text
• website link
• relevant practical information

Self Guided Travel acts solely as a publisher.
We do not act as a booking agent, intermediary, or tour operator, and we are not involved in the sale or delivery of your services.

3. Subscription & Payment

Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Listings are billed on an annual subscription basis unless otherwise agreed.

The standard subscription fee is £99 per year (subject to change).

By completing payment, you authorise automatic annual renewal unless cancelled before renewal.

Fees are non-refundable once a listing is published, except where required by law or in cases of proven error.

Listings typically go live within five (5) working days after payment and receipt of required content.

If payment fails, we may suspend or remove the listing until payment is received.

4. Partner Responsibilities

You agree to:

• provide accurate and lawful information
• ensure submitted materials are owned or licensed for use
• maintain a functioning website or contact method
• notify us of significant business changes
• operate responsibly and in line with environmental and ethical standards

5. Eligibility

By submitting a listing, you confirm that you:

• operate a genuine business or organisation
• are authorised to represent the listed service
• do not misrepresent your services

We reserve the right to decline or remove listings that do not align with our editorial standards or values.

6. Editorial Control

As a publisher, Self Guided Travel retains full editorial control.

We may:

• edit text for clarity, tone, and consistency
• format listings for design and usability
• reposition listings for editorial relevance
• refuse listings that conflict with editorial standards

Edits will not alter factual business details.

7. Term & Cancellation

Listings remain active for the paid subscription period and renew automatically unless cancelled.

Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not trigger refunds for the current term.

We may suspend or remove listings without refund if they breach these Terms or harm the integrity of the publication.

8. Intellectual Property & Usage

You retain ownership of submitted materials.

By submitting content, you grant ahchoo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce materials in:

• the Self Guided Travel website
• print publications and guidebooks
• social media channels
• editorial and promotional material relating to the publication

This licence remains valid during your active subscription and for archival reference.

9. Limitation of Liability

Self Guided Travel is not responsible for:

• bookings, payments, or customer interactions
• loss of business, visibility, or search ranking
• technical interruptions beyond reasonable control

Liability shall not exceed the total amount paid during the current subscription term.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Acceptance

By submitting your details and completing payment, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms.
