Self Guided Travel is an independent publisher focused on routes, protected landscapes, and the places shaped by movement through them.
We publish place-led work exploring long-distance trails, historic paths, National Landscapes, National Parks, wild places, and the villages and towns connected by them. Our content is rooted in walking as a way of understanding land, history, and culture — moving slowly through landscapes rather than passing over them.
Self Guided Travel exists to document the outdoors through routes and places, and to connect landscapes through movement on foot.
